Another week, another episode of THE FILM DOPES PODCAST! This time, the one and only “Ready Eddy”finally  takes over the hosting spot, joined once again by “Stuntman Jess”. Together, they review STAR TREK BEYOND, directed by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious series), starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, and John Cho.

Captain James Tiberius Kirk (Pine), Spock (Quinto), and the rest of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew return in this thirteenth and latest installment of the Star Trek series, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2016. They encounter a new enemy (Elba), who puts everything they, and the Federation they stand for, to the ultimate test.

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As Stuntman Jess, and The Renaissance Man Gabriel review The Legend of Tarzan. Directed by  David Yates (  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2) and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Christoph Waltz, and Margot Robbie.

A decade after as John Clayton III leaves with his now wife Jane for Victorian London, he returns to the Congo, home of the jungles he once roamed. But danger lurks as he finds himself a pawn in the plans of the treacherous Leon Rom. When Jane becomes a pawn in his devious plot, John must claim his place as Tarzan in order to save the woman he loves.

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As  Alex Camargo, Stuntman Jess, and Ready Eddy review Independence Day: Resurgence. Directed by  Roland Emmerich ( Independence Day) and starring Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, and Bill Pullman.

20 years after the nations of earth united to stop an advanced alien threat, an event known as the Battle of Independence Day, the world has changed drastically. Crash sites and ruins of alien ships make up most of the scenery in some landscapes, and the governing bodies of earth have learned to harness this foreign technology in order to advance their cause. But now earth finds itself threatened once again as the same invaders look to go to war with earth.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! –10 CLOVERFIELD LANE

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! Alex Camargo, and The Renaissance Man Gabriel, review 10 Cloverfield Lane . The latest film from Bad Robot (The production studio behind Star Wars Epsiode VII). Starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Gallagher Jr., and directed by Dan Trachtenberg.

Set in the world of the 2008 monster movie, Cloverfield; A young woman and a man find themselves trapped in an underground bunker with a mad survivalist, who has made them believe that the surface in uninhabitable due to a massive chemical attack. Unsure what to believe, the young woman decides she must escape, no matter what dangers she may face outside.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS

The Film Dopes are at it again as The Renaissance Man Gabriel, and Ready Eddie review the year’s most anticipated blockbuster and the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise, in the Force Awakens.  Directed by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek: Into Darkness), the films features a star studded cast that feature familiar faces in Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, and some new names in Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and many more.

Set 30 years after the demise of the Sith and fall of the Galactic Empire, all is well in the galaxy, or is it? The struggle for power still rages on as a new faction dubbed “The First Order” tangles with “The Resistance,” as both sides try to piece the shattered mirror of power that used to be the Galactic Republic. But there is an ominous presence that is moving the pieces and pulling the strings. “There has been an awakening, have you felt it?”

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – THE WALK

The Film Dopes are at it again as The Renaissance Man Gabriel, and Stuntman Jess review the latest film by legendary director Robert Zemeckis (Back To the future, Forrest Gump, Cast Away) The Walk. This film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the famous high wire artist Philippe Petit who attached a tightrope across the twin towers at The World Trade Center in order to walk across from one building to another, this was his ultimate goal in life. He will not rest until he attempts this dangerous and possibly deadly task. This film is based on a true story which makes this film’s concept that much more interesting. (Kids do NOT try this at home)

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – The Transporter Refueled

The Film Dopes are at it again as Stuntman Jess, The Renaissance Man Gabriel, and Alex Camargo review the latest installment of the Action Franchise The Transporter: Refueled. This films stars Ed Skrein, Ray Stevenson, and Loan Chabanol.

Set in the beautiful and exotic backdrop of southern France; Ex-Special Ops Mercenary, turned Transporter Frank Martin is a stoic loner who never mixes business with personal matters, but all that is about to change when an odd job request plunges him front and center into an all out war between a group of vengeance hungry femme-fatales and their former employer, and leader of a Russian crime syndicate.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – American Ultra

The Film Dopes are at it again as Stuntman Jess, The Renaissance Man Gabriel, and Alex Camargo review the latest stoner comedy American Ultra This films stars Jesse EisenbergKristen StewartTopher GraceConnie Britton, and John Leguizamo.

This small action film is about a stoner Named Mike (Jesse Eisenberg) who is in fact part of a CIA project, he was trained to be the ultimate killing machine. The catch is that Mike is unaware of his specific skills due to being brainwashed by the agency, until his former handler (Connie Britton) activates him. Once Mike is activated he discovers some new abilities that help him go up against the people that are trying to kill him and his girlfriend Phoebe (Kristen Stewart).

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – FANTASTIC FOUR

The Film Dopes are at it again! With their second review this week as Stuntman Jess and The Renaissance Man Gabriel review Fantastic Four. Directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle), this film stars Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle), Miles Teller (Whiplash), Kate Mara (House of Cards) and Jamie Bell (Snow Piercer) as the titular super hero team.

Four young scientists gain superhuman powers that morph their physical form, after an experiment with inter-dimensional travel goes wrong. Reed Richards is able to stretch and twist his body at will, while his childhood friend, Ben Grimm gains immense strength and a rock like skin texture. Johnny Storm is able to emit, control and project fire, while his sister, Sue becomes invisible and can generate force fields. The four must learn to harness and cope with their new found abilities while facing a new threat in a former colleague driven to madness by his new found power.
