THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As  Alex Camargo, Stuntman Jess, and Ready Eddy review Independence Day: Resurgence. Directed by  Roland Emmerich ( Independence Day) and starring Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, and Bill Pullman.

20 years after the nations of earth united to stop an advanced alien threat, an event known as the Battle of Independence Day, the world has changed drastically. Crash sites and ruins of alien ships make up most of the scenery in some landscapes, and the governing bodies of earth have learned to harness this foreign technology in order to advance their cause. But now earth finds itself threatened once again as the same invaders look to go to war with earth.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS

The Film Dopes are at it again as The Renaissance Man Gabriel, and Ready Eddie review the year’s most anticipated blockbuster and the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise, in the Force Awakens.  Directed by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek: Into Darkness), the films features a star studded cast that feature familiar faces in Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, and some new names in Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and many more.

Set 30 years after the demise of the Sith and fall of the Galactic Empire, all is well in the galaxy, or is it? The struggle for power still rages on as a new faction dubbed “The First Order” tangles with “The Resistance,” as both sides try to piece the shattered mirror of power that used to be the Galactic Republic. But there is an ominous presence that is moving the pieces and pulling the strings. “There has been an awakening, have you felt it?”

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – THE MARTIAN

The Film Dopes are at it again as The Renaissance Man Gabriel, Stuntman Jess, Ready Eddie, and Alex Camargo review the latest film by Ridley Scott (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Prometheus) The Martian. Matt Damon (Elysium), Jessica Chastain (Interstellar), and Jeff Daniels (News Room), spear head one the largest ensemble casts to date, in a film that is sure to make buzz during the award season.

Based on the bestselling novel by Andy Weir; In the not so distant future, a mission to mars is aborted when a severe storm separates astronaut Mark Watney (Damon) from his crew. Left for dead, Watney must find a way to survive in an alien environment with nothing but dwindling resources and his wits; while his crew headed by Commander Lewis (Chastain) and NASA figure out how they can assemble a rescue mission, to bring our fellow man home.

The Film Dopes Review: Tomorrowland

The Film Dopes are at it again this week as the crew went to see Tomorrowland. Brad Bird‘s latest project starring George Clooney, Britt Robertson, and Hugh Laurie. This is Disney’s newest film which is an adaptation of the very popular theme park attraction commonly known as “Tomorrowland.” If you had any sort of childhood you would know what this is and how special this theme park can be. It fuels imagination and ignites inspiration, and this movie tries to capture it as well as it can.

Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity (Britt Robertson) and a former boy-genius inventor (George Clooney) embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory.
