THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – STAR TREK BEYOND

Another week, another episode of THE FILM DOPES PODCAST! This time, the one and only “Ready Eddy”finally  takes over the hosting spot, joined once again by “Stuntman Jess”. Together, they review STAR TREK BEYOND, directed by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious series), starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, and John Cho.

Captain James Tiberius Kirk (Pine), Spock (Quinto), and the rest of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew return in this thirteenth and latest installment of the Star Trek series, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2016. They encounter a new enemy (Elba), who puts everything they, and the Federation they stand for, to the ultimate test.

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As Stuntman Jess, and The Renaissance Man Gabriel review Ghostbusters (2016). Directed by   Paul Feig ( Bridesmaids ) and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.

A paranormal researcher, a physicist, an engineer and a local citizen are trying to prove that ghosts exist, when they find themselves in neck deep in a series of encounters with apparitions through out different locations in their city. Little do they know that these are signs of a cataclysmic haunting that is about to befall New York, as some one or something is trying to awaken all the ghoulish perils that lurk. This unlikely team must now put their wits, and ingenuity to the test in order to save the world as we know it.

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As Stuntman Jess, and The Renaissance Man Gabriel review The Legend of Tarzan. Directed by  David Yates (  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2) and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Christoph Waltz, and Margot Robbie.

A decade after as John Clayton III leaves with his now wife Jane for Victorian London, he returns to the Congo, home of the jungles he once roamed. But danger lurks as he finds himself a pawn in the plans of the treacherous Leon Rom. When Jane becomes a pawn in his devious plot, John must claim his place as Tarzan in order to save the woman he loves.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW!-CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As  Alex Camargo, Stuntman Jess, and The Renaissance Man Gabriel review Central Intelligence. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber ( We’re the Millers) and starring Dwayne Johnson,  and Kevin Hart.

Meet Calvin Joyner a former star athlete and all around popular guy, who now finds himself working as an accountant while missing the glory days that were high school. As his 20 year high school reunion draws near, he is contacted by an old classmate, Bob Stone, the socially awkward kid who endured bullying for being over weight. Little does Calvin know that not only has Bob changed in appearance but he has also found work as a CIA agent who is on a mission to save the now compromised US satellite system.

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As Stuntman Jess, The Renaissance Man Gabriel, and Ready Eddy review Warcraft. Directed by Duncan Jones ( Source Code) and starring Travis FimmelPaula Patton, and Ben Foster.

Inspired by the highly popular video game franchise, Warcraft tells the story of two factions at war for their survival. At one end is the kingdom of Azeroth, a rich and thriving human world led by its King Llane, at the other stands a conquering army called The Horde, led by their shaman Gul’dan. As their war wages on, leaders from each side begin to question if war is the answer.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW!-THE NICE GUYS

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As Alex Camargo, The Renaissance Man Gabriel,  and Stuntman Jess review The Nice Guys. Directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3) and starring Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, and Angourie Rice .

Set in 1977 Los Angeles, a down-on-his-luck private eye and a hired enforcer,are forced to partner up, when a young woman mysteriously disappears. They soon learn the hard way that other dangerous people are also looking for her, taking their investigation into uncharted waters as it would seem that anyone remotely involved in the case seems to wind up dead.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! –HARDCORE HENRY

THE FILM DOPES ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! As Alex Camargo, The Renaissance Man Gabriel,  and Stuntman Jess review Hardcore Henry. Directed by Ilya Naishuller and starring Sharlto Copley, Tim Roth, and Haley Bennett.

You as the audience get to (literally) experience the story from the eyes of a man, as he wakes up in a laboratory to learn that he’s been brought back from death as a cyborg, with no memory of his former life. A scientist, who claims to be his wife, tells him that his name is Henry. Before she can activate his voice, she is kidnapped by a group of armed assailants. As Henry starts to understand his new abilities, he embarks on a bloody rampage through the city to save his spouse from a psychopath who plans to destroy the world.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – 007 SPECTRE

The Film Dopes are at it again as Alex Camargo, Stuntman Jess, Ready Eddie and The Renaissance Man review the latest installment in the Bond franchise in 007 Spectre. Directed by  Sam Mendes (007 Skyfall), The Film stars Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, and Léa Seydoux.

Directly following the events of Skyfall, James Bond (Craig) must track down the inner workings of a shadow organization known as Spectre. Mean while M battles a wave of political tension both inside and surrounding the organization, in order to keep and safeguard the integrity of MI6.

THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – THE LAST WITCH HUNTER

The Film Dopes are at it again as Alex Camargo, and Stuntman Jess review the latest Vin Diesel action/fantasy film The Last Witch Hunter. This film is directed by Breck Eisner (Sahara, The Crazies). Kaulder (Diesel) is the last of the witch hunters who is cursed by “The Queen Witch” he killed, thus giving him the power of immortality. For hundreds of years he has slayed witches and brought them to justice. THE FILM DOPES REVIEW! – The Transporter Refueled

The Film Dopes are at it again as Stuntman Jess, The Renaissance Man Gabriel, and Alex Camargo review the latest installment of the Action Franchise The Transporter: Refueled. This films stars Ed Skrein, Ray Stevenson, and Loan Chabanol.

Set in the beautiful and exotic backdrop of southern France; Ex-Special Ops Mercenary, turned Transporter Frank Martin is a stoic loner who never mixes business with personal matters, but all that is about to change when an odd job request plunges him front and center into an all out war between a group of vengeance hungry femme-fatales and their former employer, and leader of a Russian crime syndicate.
